4 years, i have gained experience working with children with varying ability levels using the latest
teaching practices and teaching methods to help each of my students make gains in their math and
reading levels. i also have worked tutoring as a tutor in my elementary school for the past four
years. in the summer, i work with disadvantaged struggling youth in an academic empowerment program.
having grown up in the suburbs, i truly value my education and feel that children, regardless of
socioeconomic status, deserve the help they need to be successful. i believe each child is capable
of learning if an effective teacher teaches to the child's learning styles. having taught both
reading and math i am familiar with both the harcourt and imagine it reading series as well as
everyday mathematics curriculum and supports....
